Well, here is the new comic. Actually this was the first comic I made. I was just sitting around playing with ideas and ended up sketching this. I like the fact that it's of the programming genre. I really hope to focus on that a lot more in the future.

I get picked on a lot by one of my CS instructors for being what he calls a "hero" programmer. The type of guy that will sit at the keyboard for 90 hours without a break and never question why. I just figure if I can find something that keeps my interest for 90 hours, why sleep? Anyway, I always think it's funny that he lectures me about it, but when he needs something done he always comes to me. I guess that makes sense though, I mean...it's a "social disease" right up until someone needs something done. Then it's a "gift".

Honestly I think that there is something like "runner's high" for programmers. I know that once I start, I'm in for at least 4 hours, non-stop. The idea of quitting before I'm at a good place is just unthinkable. Just like runner's high, though, there's a lot of people at the sidelines trying to figure out what you get out of it. I guess you've just got to break a sweat for yourself and find out.

I do worry about graduation though. I know that I'll be looking for a job soon, and then I'll be doing this sort of thing for 40+ hours a week and getting paid for it. But am I willing to sacrifice a social life for an interesting problem? I don't know. I guess that's just one of those questions that gets answered with time.
